MEAD FARMS BREEDING GUARANTEE We guarantee that all breeding cattle sold by Mead Farms, both bulls and females, are fertile to the best of our knowledge. Each bull has passed a complete breeding soundness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Breeding Age Bulls All bulls selling for $3500 or more will receive a first breeding season guarantee. A breeding season is defined as 90 day from the bulls turnout date. If a bull is found to be infertile at any point during this first breeding season following the sale so to make him functionally unable to service and settle a cow, we will provide you with the following. 1). A satisfactory replacement, if one is available. 2). Credit in a future Mead Farms Sale equal to the purchase price less $2,000 (salvage value) This is not an insurance policy, nor does it cover death, accidental injury or neglect. We suggest contacting an insurance representative to inquire about mortality Insurance. We ask they you contact us immediately discovering the problem. Females All females that are sold as bred will be ultrasounded the week before the sale to confirm pregnancy. Unless agreed upon previously, females selling that have calves or have been preg checked prior to the sale, sell with no further guarantee. Spring cows will be sold as exposed, as they are still running with a bull. We recommend taking them home and putting them with the bull of your choice until the end of your breeding season. Ultrasound information was done by Dr. Hunt Tainter, DVM and gives an estimated breeding date. We provide all the information we have on the breeding of these animals to the best of our knowledge. The replacement females are guaranteed to breed within the first 6 months after the sale date. Bulls must meet genetic requirements of +0.65 Marbling EPD and +55 $ Grid of non-parent Angus sires to qualify for use of the Targeting the Brand™ logo.

RETAINED INTEREST Mead Farms retains a one-third semen and revenue sharing interest in all bulls selling. This simply means that if at any point in the life of the bull Mead Farms would like to collect semen on the bull for their own use, or if semen is marketed, Mead Farms will share in any of the revenue generated. Buyers receive full possession and 100% salvage value on all bulls purchased.
