In just the last three years, podcast listeners increased by 29.5 percent; farmers including both Callis and Pereira have utilized this audio boom to get their messages out to policymakers as well as the general public by being featured in episodes on several podcasts. As the onslaught of regulations facing farmers shows no signs of slowing down, the next generation’s passion for joining the agvocacy ranks will be key in the fight for agriculture. “Having a voice in the fight for ag and being involved every step of the way is a philosophical matter of defending our country’s founding heritage: farming. Pure and simple,” said Callis.
