SALE INFORMATION Auctioneer—Ken Carney Sale Agent—SEMO Livestock Sales, LLC

The sale order was determined by consignors drawing for a position in the rotation. Each consignor selected those heifers to sell in each rotation. Heif- ers will be sold in uniform lots sorted according to breed type, size and those selling together are expected to calve in a 45 day period. Heifers become the property of the purchaser immediately after the sale. Each animal will be at the purchaser ’ s risk as soon as sold. The seller will aid in the loading of the cattle on instructions from the buyer, but at the buyer ’ s risk. No cattle will be loaded until the conclusion of the sale. All fees will be collected by SEMO Livestock Sales, LLC, and are to be settled before loading. GUARANTEE All heifers are guaranteed bred and are guaranteed to remain preg- nant for 30 days after the sale. Due dates are approximate. Females can range two weeks or more around due date even if they were AI bred. Heifers were pasture exposed to bulls after AI. Rectal palpation for pregnancy is subjective and not exact because all cows vary in fetal development. AI pregnancies are not guaranteed but highly probable. Gestation length is based on average of 283 days and can come very early or very late. Any heifer found open (by an accredited veterinarian) will be returned to the consignor and the money will be refunded by the consignor. Heifers are guaranteed against genetic defects on first calf only if inspected and documented by a veterinarian. All guarantees are made by the consignor of the cattle, not the sale committee or the SEMO Cattlemen ’ s Association. TAGS All heifers in the sale are identified by a special tag that carries the “ Show - Me - Select ” trademark and name. This tag indicates that the heifers have met all of the requirements of the Missouri “ Show - Me - Select ” program. Some heifers may carry a white Show - Me - Select tag. This identifies them as Tier Two heifers which is explained in more detail later in this catalog. CONTRIBUTORS The sale committee and consignors thank all those who have contrib- uted to the success of this program. Your faith in our ability to make this pro- gram work is appreciated. **NOTICE TO BUYERS** Brucellosis calfhood vaccinated is optional, but all heifers have received an offi- cial ID. All heifers have received booster vaccinations for Leptospirosis and 8 - way Clostridial and have tested negative for BVD - PI. Necessary health papers to go to any state will be available on all heifers after the sale.

REQUIREMENTS FOR HEIFERS IN THE 2024 REPLACEMENT HEIFER SALE These requirements are designed to minimize the incidence and severity of calving difficulty and protect against potential reproductive losses. parent. Specifically, differences in EPDs between two individuals of the same breed predict differences in performance between their future offspring when each is mated to animals of the same average genetic merit. EPDs are calculated for birth, growth, maternal, and carcass traits and are reported in the same units of measurement as the trait (normally pounds). EPD values may be directly compared only between animals of the same breed. In other words, a birth weight EPD for a Charolais bull may not be directly compared to a birth weight EPD of a Hereford bull (unless an adjustment is made to account for breed differences). Accuracy is reported as a decimal between zero and one and an accuracy of close to 1.0 indicates higher reliability in data selection. The greater the accuracy, the more certainty that EPD will not change significantly as additional progeny information is observed. Catalog EPD ’ s and Percentile Rank: The EPD ’ s listed are not an exhaustive list; an entire EPD set for each bull can be obtained by visiting the breed association website. Please note EPDs may change from the time the sale book is printed until time of sale. EPDs printed in the catalog were pulled from respective breed associations on 3/25/2023. EPDs may have also changed from time of breeding to catalog printing. All bulls met Show - Me - Select requirements for calving ease at time of AI or bull turn - in. We began publishing the Percentile Rank below each EPD trait. This tells you how each EPD ranks compared to all active sires within a breed. This a 1 - 99 scale with 1% being the highest rank and 99% the lowest.

SHOW - ME PLUS HEIFERS:

A classification of Show - Me Plus was identified in 2015 for a heifer with a genomic prediction. This could include a registered heifer with Genomic - Enhanced EPDs or a commercial heifer with a commercial heifer panel. Genomics reduces the risk of making poor purchasing decisions. It enables producers to select for additional economically important traits such as Stayability, Heifer Pregnancy, Carcass Weight, Marbling, and More. Qualifying heifers are identified with the Show - Me Plus symbol in the catalog and will be announced from the sale block. Approved tests: GE - EPD, GeneMax Advantage, Inherit Select, Red Navigator, Igenity Beef, Method Choice.

TRUCKING ASSISTANCE: If a buyer purchases 20 head or more and lives 100 miles or more from the auction barn, the Southeast Show - Me - Select Board will pay half of the trucking costs for your return trip home (max payout is $750).

DCR Adeline Sloane K2 Registration Number: AAA 20500160

Confirmed safe in calf to the AI sire, Tehama Patriarch, and carrying a heifer calf.

“ Sloane ” is a Tier II heifer that was shown at East Perry Community Fair in September 2023. This “ Deer Valley Growth Fund ” daughter has been an eye catcher from the start as she is structurally correct and an easy keeper. Sloane is hand fed daily and broke to a hot wire.

Her genetics go back to our 14 year old donor cow, “ Lone Oaks Miss Traveler Y114 ”, that we are still flushing.

This heifer ’ s future is unstoppable with great genetics behind her and docility as a bonus. She would be a great addition to anyone ’ s herd.

6574 State Hwy OO Jackson, MO 63755 573 - 275 - 1534

This year we are offering six heifers, three registered Angus and three Hereford/Angus cross heifers. These heifers come straight out of our replacement heifer group and were home - raised and freeze branded with their ranch ID. These heifers have a great disposition and were developed on fescue pastures and supplemented with 2lbs of DDGs per day and hay through the winter. They have been vaccinated with modified live products since weaning and will receive a dose of Long Range prior to the sale just like our replacements. They were AI bred and the commercial heifers ran one heat cycle with a cleanup bull. All the heifers we AI bred to Tehama Tahoe except a couple that were out of him. This bull has done a tremendous job of making females. The cleanup bull was 44 Revelation 1167 a Salvation son we own.  013K (20603244) is a Growth Fund daughter out of Consensus 7229 cow. She is bred to Tehama Tahoe due 9/1/24 with a bull calf.  915K (20607129) is an E&B Plus One daughter out of a Payweight 1682 cow that has a phenomenal maternal history behind her. She is bred to Tehama Tahoe due 9/1/24 with a bull calf.  914K (20607378) is a Tehama Tahoe daughter out of Deer Valley Unique cow. She is bred to GB Fireball due 9/21/24 with a heifer calf. The three black white faced heifers are all sired by an absolute standout Polled Hereford bull we purchased from J&S Herefords that would be a Sensation 2504 son (P44139846). They would all be out of purebred Angus cows. Two are due 9/1/24 to Tehama Tahoe with a heifer and a bull and one is due to our cleanup sire 44 Revelation 1167 due 9/20/24 with a bull.
