He continued this type of activity after discharge until November, 1948, when he found Christ as his Saviour while at work in Miami Beach, Flor ida. Since that time Alan has been in the full time Christian ministry with a unique service of song and testi mony. Alan, and his a t t r a c t i v e w i f e , Nancy, are members of the Hollywood C h r i s t i a n Group, which through prayer and evangelism are spreading the Word of God through that area of spiritual need. Among the many Christian celebrities active in this group are Redd Harper, Roy Rogers, Dale Evans, and Cindy Walker. Alan has risen to national promi nence by his work a guest soloist for some of America’s best known evan gelists, including Merv Rosell, Oswald J. Smith, William Ward Ayer, and T. W. Wilson. His popularity among young people has grown immensely as a result of his many appearances at Youth for Christ rallies.

Interest in this radio column which was started with last month’s issue has been most gratifying. Several late and important items will be of particular interest to our Christian friends. 1. Radio Station KRWC, managed by Mr. Demcy Mylar, “The Country Preacher,” has applied for an FM out let in Portland, Oregon. Programs will be duplicated with the AM facil ity during the day, and a separate schedule will be instituted for the evening hours. 2. Dr. Percy Crawford, president of King’s College, atid well-known youth leader, has applied for an FM station in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The out let would be in addition to the Detroit, Michigan, station planned by the Christian broadcaster. 3. Mutual network stations KHJ and KFRC, in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California, have removed all weekday religious programs from the air, in favor of the familiar pat ter of “ disc jockey” broadcasts. Two largest programs which have been af fected are the “ Haven of Rest,” and the “ Bible Institute Hour.” Out of the 28 radio stations in the Los Angeles area, only one or two will “ sell time” to religious programs during the weekdays. These stations, in addition, are generally “ sold out.” 4. Radio Station KBBI, broadcasting voice of the Bible Institute of Los An geles, Inc., is scheduled to go on the air in a matter of a few days. The sta tion will utilize all new RCA equip ment and will cover the Southern Cal ifornia areas. Located at 107.5 on the FM dial, KBBI will broadcast from 6:30 in the morning to 10:30 at night. 5. Missionary Radio Station HOXO in Panama has increased its operating power by ten fold. Dr. Clarence Jones, president of the World Radio Mission ary Fellowship gave the inauguration address at ceremonies recently held. The station is operated by the Latin America Mission. To this date, there are some 19 missionary radio stations. 6. Mr. Harold Van Broekhoven, special representative of the World Radio Missionary Fellowship, is con tinuing efforts toward establishing a missionary radio station on the conti nent of Europe. 2 5 t h A N N I V E R S A R Y Y E A R Rushing the Gospel to Russians and Others

In 1934 the Slavic Gospel Association was organized through prayer under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, to evangelize Russians and others in Europe, South America, Australia, Alaska, Canada and the United States.

At the present time there are over 100 missionaries, preaching the Gospel in 24 countries. New missionaries are ready to go to Europe, Alaska, Australia and South America as soon as their support is pledged. We are sending Bibles, New Testaments and Gospel literature to Slavic countries and other parts of the world. Relief is being sent to sick, needy Christians in Europe. Over 60 weekly Gospel programs in Russian and Ukrainian are broadcast over 6 radio stations which are heard in many parts of the world, including the Slavic countries. If the Lord should lead you to have fellowship in the work
