Rooted in Sustainability Our Mangrove Planting Initiative

As part of the ESG initiatives, we visited Jubail Mangrove Park to explore the vital role of mangroves in combating climate change. This annual visit serves as a meaningful opportunity to deepen awareness of mangrove conservation and actively contribute to environmental sustainability.

Guided by park rangers, colleagues embarked on a boardwalk tour, discovering the diverse ecosystems within the park, including mangrove habitats, intertidal mudflats, salt marshes, lagoon channels, and unique sandstone formations. As one of the planet’s most crucial ecosystems, mangroves play a key role in coast al protection, biodiversity support, and carbon absorption. Recognizing their importance, large- scale mangrove restoration efforts are expanding globally, including in Abu Dhabi’s Jubail M angrove Park. Each year, the team takes part in mangrove restoration efforts, reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation. This initiative helps combat climate change, enrich marine habitats, and protect shorelines from erosion. In support of the UAE’s ambitious goal to plant 100 million mangroves by 2030, the team contributed by planting 30 new mangrove trees during this visit.

This ongoing initiative is a powerful reminder of the shared responsibility to protect and preserve the environment for future generations.
