FBLA because many businesses are currently evaluating remote work with the end of the pandemic. At the same time, many workers who have been working remotely are questioning a return to the office. Lincoln Trail College FBLA Collegiate advisor Amie Mayhall says she’s proud of their performance at the competition. “Madisyn and Krista competed against the top performers from each state. They not only rose to the top of the Illinois rankings, but also the nation. I’m very proud of both of them, and I believe when our students are able to compete at this level it is a good reminder that their possibilities in life are wide open.”

Alumnus Recognized at State Level
Koert Mehler (’16) was named the Illinois Future Business Leaders of American Collegiate Businessperson of the Year. Mehler is a commercial lender for First Robinson Savings Bank. He is also the owner of The Woods Bar and Event Center and Your Flower Basket. LTC business students visited the Event Center in the fall where Woods talked about opening the facility with his wife Sarah in 2021 and about the importance of research before putting money into a project.
