The Trews headlining Russell Fair Canadian hard rock band The Trews will headline the Friday night concert, Sep- tember 5, at this year’s Russell Fair, which will be held from September 4 to 7. “Fans and newcomers to The Trews and their opening group Gentlemen Husbands will be blown away by the pool of Canadian talent sharing the stage for our Friday night concert,” said Abbey McFaul, the Russell Agricultural Society’s entertainment coor- dinator. “And anyone buying their tickets before August 15th will be eligible to win a meet-and-greet with the members of The Trews.” Tickets will go on sale July 29 - $30 in ad- vance or $40 at the door – which includes your gate admission. They can be pur- chased at Pronto (1119 Concession Street, Russell) or online at www.RussellFair.com (additional $3.50 fee per ticket). All the other spectacular entertainment is free all weekend with gate admission. The

Opening for The Trews on Friday Septem- ber 5 will be Gentlemen Husbands with vintage roots rock, but the music starts well before that night. The Thursday night truck pull will feature The Raykens, described as a high energy band that will get the party started and keep it going. Ottawa pop-rock band Big Newton will be playing on Saturday afternoon. The Sat- urday night show will feature Ridin’ Shot- gun, which delivers a dance-!oor friendly show of new and classic country.
