MILESTONES MONTHLY UPDATES FROM THE COO
Dear Members,
on the Tour. Please mark your calendars and come to enjoy some food, drink, and live music while celebrating the industry-leading hospitality that Paulo and his team bring to Frenchman’s Creek each day. Of special mention this month is our Jewel of Juno, The Beach Club. During October, all of Frenchman’s spectacular dining events will take place here. We are also looking forward to kicking off our exciting entertainment events for the 2025-26 season here in November. You’ll find more details inside this issue of The Current and the digital version of the Season Handbook that was released in September. On that note, Executive Chef Derrick and Chef Rico have been working tirelessly on new menus that reflect our members’ preferences for Mediterranean and seafood dishes at The Beach Club. As excited as we are about this new food concept, we also want to make sure we honor the past; as such, there will be a Members Favorite section on the menu that will feature the most popular dishes from the past. One dish that stands above all others is the Beach Club Crab Cake, which will appear on menus at the Clubhouse as well in the future, so that everyone can enjoy the best crab cake in the region at both the main Club and the Beach Club. Another milestone this month is the return of our H2Bs for the season. We are excited to welcome back familiar faces while welcoming new team members to the Frenchman’s Creek family. Our Director of Food & Beverage Jimmy Hernandez and his team of managers have been diligently working on the F&B training programs which all staff will be to put through as we prepare to move into the new Clubhouse.
I would like to start this month by expressing how proud I am of our Racquet Sports Director, Paulo Hexsel. Over the past season, he has brought an exceptional level of energy, professionalism, and innovation to our racquet sports program. More recently, with the hiring of Zach McElroy as Head Racquet Sports Professional and Luciely Castillo as Racquet Shop Manager, we now have a talented team guiding this important part of our club community. At the time of this writing, we cannot yet be certain of the exact date on which members will have access to the Clubhouse, but we can state with confidence that the Creek Ball project is well underway, and on November 11 we will celebrate the grand opening of the new tennis courts with an inaugural Round Robin event. There will also be a professional exhibition match featuring four incredible pros who have played
With regard to the Clubhouse, our plan remains to get members into the lower level of the
4 Frenchman’s Creek
Clubhouse within 30 days of staff first being given access to the building. My team and I will keep you updated via emails, The Current , and Board meeting presentations as we close in on a date. Until then, I would like to take this opportunity to share our excitement about the reopening of recently “refreshed” areas of the Fitness Center, including the strength and conditioning area, group exercise studio, Pilates studio, Gyrotonics studio, Stretching area, and Physical Therapy rooms. We remain on track to complete the cardio area toward the beginning of November and look forward to continuing to share details of our progress in the Daily emails. And on that note, if you have not yet met Jessica Cochran, our new Director of Fitness, Spa, and Aquatics, please stop by the Fitness Center to say hello, and enjoy the profile of her on page 38 of this month’s issue of The Current .
Yours Truly,
COO & Executive Director

DANIEL
DANIEL’ S DESK LOW
Dear Members,
We continue to prioritize training, and our local team is fully trained in the Pavilion and preparing for the transition to the Clubhouse. This group will also play a key role in training the international team upon their arrival later this month. Half of the international staff are expected in the first week of October, with the remainder arriving in the third week. In total, more than 100 international staff will join us for the upcoming season. Planning is underway to ensure smooth logistics, including housing, transportation to and from the Clubhouse, and helping all team members feel settled and welcomed. We are also pleased to share the north side of the Fitness Center and Spa is open. Members will notice the new equipment, the new flooring, the brighter colors on the wall, the wood grain furniture, live plants for improved oxygen circulation, and a different flow in the interior layout. The new layout gives us the ability to offer private training rooms, virtual training rooms, a dedicated stretch space, a dedicated free-weight area, the return of the group fitness studio, more strength and training equipment and a lot more technology integration.
As we approach kicking off the 2025-26 season, we have several exciting updates to share with our members this month. We have begun receiving items purchased for the new Clubhouse. Plates and glassware for all dining venues are now on site. The Sports Bar has received custom butcher boards for serving burgers, each branded with the Frenchman’s Creek logo. New pint glasses have also arrived for the Sports Bar, with the FC logo imprinted on the bottom and visible with every sip. Placemats for both the Sports Bar and Greenside are also now on site. In April, I asked the management team to develop operations manuals for each dining venue, as well as for Housekeeping and Concierge. I provided the overall vision and guidance, and over the past six months our managers have been working diligently to complete this significant undertaking. Some of the manuals exceed 150 pages, reflecting the level of detail required to deliver industry-leading hospitality to our membership. Once the Clubhouse opens and we better understand usage patterns, we will review each manual and make updates as needed.
These renovation changes have been part of this off-season’s updates, followed by enhancements

to the cardio area. We look forward to completing the remaining renovations of the spa, locker rooms and pool next summer. Jessica Cochran, our new Director of Fitness, Spa and Aquatics, will be leading her team here and be fully up and running in the new space. Members can learn more about Jessica in this month’s issue of The Current . Also noteworthy is our Kid’s Creek room, located toward the back of the lifestyle pro shop, which will be empty when members first arrive at the new Clubhouse. During the holiday period in December, this area will be specific to fun kids’ activities. After the holidays, the room will be converted into a parlor with pool tables, something fun to do before members enjoy a meal at The Sports Bar. While the Season Handbook captures all the finalized entertainment events for the upcoming season, we want to note our first Cabaret event kicks off next month at The Beach Club. We expect this to be just the beginning of many great entertainment acts to follow for 2025-26. We have made some updates to the Pavilion, including refreshing the coffee station and snack area to enhance member use. Our trained local staff are currently stationed in the Pavilion and ready to welcome members as they return. We are also pleased to have Executive Chef Derrick on site. In his short time here, he has been an excellent partner and I look forward to him shaping the future of the culinary program at Frenchman’s Creek. Employee culture remains a priority, and I would like to highlight two recent initiatives that have supported and motivated our staff. In late September, we celebrated Housekeepers Appreciation Week with daily training sessions, including scavenger hunts and team building activities. More recently, our Director of Food & Beverage, Jimmy Hernandez, organized team- building events for both the dining room service and culinary teams, fostering integration and collaboration.
strengthening employee culture, enhancing retention, and ensuring consistent service for our members.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE CURRENT
This October marks a special milestone for Frenchman’s Creek Marketing & Communications: the first birthday of The Current , our monthly community newsletter. What began in October 2024 as a new way to expand on the refreshed FC brand quickly became the community staple to share updates, stories, and news. And now, we’re celebrating its 12th issue— an entire year of bringing members closer to the heart of the community. Over the past twelve months, The Current has become more than just a newsletter. It’s become a touchpoint for members, staff, and committees to stay informed and engaged. From clubhouse transformation updates to wellness programming, special event spotlights, and behind-the-scenes features on the people who make Frenchman’s Creek exceptional, each issue has offered something new to discover. “The strategic vision behind The Current was to create an informative, enjoyable and reliable resource that celebrates the people of our community,” said Christy Heady, Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, and the ideologist behind The Current . “We’re proud to see how much it has grown into a monthly highlight for so many.” In addition to its articles, The Current has given members a convenient way to keep track of events, explore new services, and even revisit community traditions. Many readers have shared that they look forward to each issue to stay connected, especially during the fast-paced season. As The Current celebrates its first birthday, the newsletter’s journey is only just beginning. Plans for the year ahead include expanded digital features, more interactive content, and even more stories that capture the vibrancy of Frenchman’s Creek life. As this publication continues to grow,
please keep The Current in mind. From career milestones to positive reflections, and all the moments at the Creek in between, we encourage all members to submit articles for review by the editorial board. From its first issue to its twelfth, The Current has lived up to its name—keeping members in the flow of what matters most. Here’s to another year of communication, connection, and celebrating the community we share.
Best,
Alyssa Riegel Director of Marketing & Communications

FACILITIES FRONT LINE FIRE, SMOKE AND LIFE SAFETY
As we prepare to move into our beautiful new Clubhouse at Frenchman’s Creek, we want to share a few important reminders about fire, smoke, and life safety. These practices are in place to protect you, your family, and our fellow members. WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 1. Be aware of your surroundings. Take note of where fire and smoke alarms, exits, and gathering spots are located whenever you are in the Clubhouse. 2. Keep pathways open. Please avoid placing personal items, golf bags, or belongings in hallways or near exits. Clear access keeps everyone safe. 3. Take drills seriously. From time to time, we will conduct fire drills. While they may interrupt activities, they help ensure everyone knows what to do in the event of a real emergency.
doesn’t look right to Clubhouse staff immediately.
LIFE SAFETY Life safety is about being prepared and staying calm in any emergency:
• Know your exits. Familiarize yourself with the quickest way out of the areas you use most.
• Look out for one another. Offer help to anyone who may need guidance or assistance.
• Stay calm. Remaining calm helps you and those around you act quickly and safely.
WHY IT MATTERS Fire spreads quickly and smoke can be disorienting. Heat builds faster than you may expect. Working fire and smoke alarms can double your chance of escaping safely. By staying aware and prepared, you help protect yourself, your loved ones, and our Frenchman’s Creek community.
4. If you see something, say something. Report blocked exits, missing signs, or anything that

CAR CARRIER LOADING/UNLOADING GUIDELINES
On the aerial photo below, the green Loading/ Unloading Zone text indicates where car carriers should be positioned to load or unload vehicles. This is a U-Turn lane on the left side of eastbound Donald Ross, located about 300 yards east of our main entrance. MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: RONI LYNN DOPPELT From watercolors to world tours, Roni Lynn Doppelt loves painting, sculpting, and exhibiting her work. “It wasn’t until the end of my pregnancy that I felt I needed to be doing something, I was a little bored,” she said. “My husband encouraged me to paint, so I picked up watercolor paper and paints, just to pass the time. I framed two of the first paintings for our home, and to my surprise, the framer wanted to buy them—for $75 each. From there, I painted 15 more paintings.” Roni Lynn’s plan for those 15 paintings was to hang them in her home, but when an interior decorator viewed them, she wanted to buy them and purchased all 15. “That changed everything,” Roni Lynn added. “I still remember calling my husband from a phone booth in Delray Beach near Atlantic Avenue and Congress, exclaiming, ‘I sold them all’!”
From there, it all bloomed. Word spread quickly, and Roni Lynn received multiple commissions from people in country clubs and private homes for her artwork. She began to experiment with different mediums—painting on glass bottles, which later sold in the Boca Raton Museum gift shop, and sculpting, using alabaster, marble and bronze.
“I even traveled to Italy to sculpt in Carrera studios and Tuscany,” she added.
Currently, she explained she no longer uses brushes, rather pours paint to let it flow naturally onto the canvas, stating the result looks vibrant and alive. Surreal is the word she uses to describe her art journey. From Miami to New York, to Las Vegas to Paris, Venice, Monaco, Greece, Dubai, London, and Milan, Roni Lynn has exhibited her paintings around the globe. She added that art has woven itself into every corner of her life—from unexpected opportunities at Bloomingdale’s to exhibiting at the Palm Beach Airport, where her piece Blue Royale has been displayed since May. “I even painted on sneakers for a Hamptons trunk show, which turned into hundreds of custom pairs. I’ve created wearable art—pocket squares, ties, handbags—and I pour love into every piece. My work is a reflection of where I’ve been—every phase of the last 41 years. It’s hard to pick a favorite; each piece holds its own story,” she said. Roni Lynn shared “my artwork is all about what I love most. Love of family and friends, love of life itself, appreciation of beauty, and love of color are all important to me, and that is the reason they are always prevalent in my artwork.” Her husband shared, “I am so proud of my wife for what she has accomplished with her art! Roni Lynn has a gift the way she turns vivid colors and shapes into emotions. For me it’s such a treat to see her at work creating something so beautiful!”
20 Frenchman’s Creek
Most notably, Roni Lynn has contributed her artwork to various charities for fundraising events and has generously donated significant original pieces of her art to foundations like Morse Life, Donna Klein, Pink Aid, Alzheimers Association,
The 92nd Street Y, and Albert Einstein College.
CONGRATULATIONS TO LESLEY KOEPPEL FIRST BOOK RELEASE
Frenchman’s Creek resident Lesley Koeppel is celebrating an exciting milestone—she has just published her first book! How to Be the “Perfect” Mother-in-Law: A Lighthearted Guide for Moms of Married Sons is a witty and insightful look at one of life’s most delicate relationships. Drawing on years of experience as a psychotherapist, Lesley offers a playful yet thoughtful guide for mothers of sons who are dating, newly engaged, or already
married. It’s filled with gentle humor, relatable stories, and practical wisdom—making it both a fun read and a wonderful gift. Lesley shared that this book is a delightful departure from the deeper, more serious topics she typically explores in her private practice and in her thoughtful writings on her Substack column (lesleykoeppel.substack.com). This book allows her to share her lighter side and her gift for finding connection and humor in everyday relationships. “I have a daughter-in-law now and another daughter-in-law on the way in February,” she said. However, “I must follow my own advice. But it isn’t always easy… not even for me. My intention is to be the best mother-in-law possible to them.” Lesley is incredibly passionate about the topic, noting the book was a labor of love to write. “In my private practice, I was seeing this dynamic play out over and over again,” she said. “Whether it was a daughter-in-law complaining about her mother-in-law or vice versa, it happened frequently. I created a seminar for the mothers- in-law based on anonymous feedback I got from daughters-in-law, even if there was a great relationship. From the examples I shared at the seminar, mothers-in-law were laughing and crying. From there, I wrote the book, which was easy to do, because the chapters pretty much wrote themselves.” The book is available on Amazon and can be found by putting Lesley Koeppel in the search bar. Please join us all in congratulating Lesley on this exciting accomplishment as she celebrates the debut of her first book.

THE BRIGHT SIDE BULLETIN A MEMBER DRIVEN COLUMN HIGHLIGHTING POSITIVITY, MINDFULNESS, GRATITUDE, AND GOOD NEWS AT FRENCHMAN’S CREEK.
THIS COLUMN WAS WRITTEN AND DESIGNED BY MEMBERS.
After finishing morning water aerobics with Chris, I feel both energized and a little wobbly- legged—it really is quite the workout. As I step out of the pool, Catarina is already waiting. She picks up a towel, not a robe like many others choose, because she remembers that’s what I prefer. It’s such a small detail, but one that always makes me feel cared for. The towel is warm from being in the sauna as she wraps it around me with a quiet precision. Then comes her quick friendly pat on my upper back. The kind of pat that says, “Off you go, you survived another round.” It’s a small gesture, one that could easily go unnoticed, but it makes me smile every time. It is not just the towel that warms me, but the recognition that someone has anticipated my need and offered kindness without fanfare.
Simple, efficient, yet thoughtful as she moves on to the next person with their preference of a robe or a towel. In that brief exchange, I’m reminded how kindness doesn’t have to be grand to make a difference. As I stand there drying off, I realize how much joy there is in these tiny routines: the workout, the towel, the familiar faces around the pool. It’s all so ordinary, and yet somehow it feels like a little celebration of the morning.
What a lovely way to start the morning—with warmth, kindness and gratitude.

CHEF’S CORNER: A SLICE OF FALL WHY PUMPKIN PIE IS SO GREAT
Pumpkin pie is more than just a Thanksgiving staple—it represents the fall season. Despite the high temps in Southeast Florida, and summer officially gone, the beloved pumpkin pie can still delight the palate. It’s an iconic dessert with an earthy sweetness from the pumpkin puree’, plus warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and cloves. Notably, pumpkin pie can evoke memories of holiday dinners or a comforting smell that fills the house when it’s baking in the oven. You don’t have to be a pastry chef to make pumpkin pie, but you can delight in the pumpkin pie our Pastry Chef Kursten makes here at Frenchman’s. “The members loved this pie a few weeks ago at our Summer Sunday buffet, so I wanted to highlight it, since it was such a huge hit!” Chef Kursten shared, noting that the recipe below is what she used to make this delicious fall dessert.

Greetings from your Golf Course Maintenance Department! TURF TALK a new 36-inch-high density polyethylene intake line installed, a new building constructed, the old building removed, and a substantial amount of dirt work and landscaping done. If we were to think of the pump station as the heart of the irrigation system, then this was a full heart transplant! We are relieved and excited to be able to operate at full capacity inside a building that will serve the
October brings with it many exciting things in Golf Course Maintenance. We have finished our summer maintenance practices and projects, which have fully occupied our efforts for the past five months, and are now ready to welcome members back to both golf courses. There was a great deal accomplished over the summer and we would like to thank our members for giving us the opportunity to continue to make improvements on the course. In addition to aggressive summer maintenance, we were able to clear significant overgrowth along our waterways and complete the construction and related earth work for a new pump station. There has been great progress that will set up the Club for continued success. I would like to focus on some of the items that have been accomplished this summer.
Club for many years to come. Additionally, we were able to drastically improve the view and landscaping in the area! While the Community is a little quieter through the summer months on the member side, it is the busiest time of the year on the course. It is during summer that we lay the groundwork for success through the fall, winter, and spring. The processes are very labor intensive, noisy, and quite messy, but all very necessary. During these upcoming months, we will still be active in our maintenance practices and detailing efforts, but all attempts will be made to balance our members and their guest’s experience with our daily tasks. For now, the pine straw and mulch are being installed, signaling the beginning of a new golf season. We are pleased to welcome everyone back on to the course and look forward to a very exciting year at the Club.
PUMP HOUSE UPDATE
The pump house project was a significant step for the golf course maintenance operation. The Club’s irrigation system was operating well below capacity for a number of years. This was exacerbated by the failure of the subsurface structures in 2024. With the help of our VP of Facilities, Santiago Gonzalez, we were able to navigate the challenges and plan for a new building.

POINTERS FROM A PRO JORDAN MATHERS, HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
THIS MONTH, JORDAN MATHERS WALKS US THROUGH CHIPPING WITH YOUR HYBRID.
When you want to get the ball rolling smoothly on the green from just off the fringe or light rough, chipping with your hybrid is a great strategy. Unlike a wedge, which produces more loft and spin, a hybrid allows for a lower, bump-and-run style shot that behaves more like a putt. This technique is especially useful on tight lies or when you have plenty of green to work with. #1 SETUP You should place the ball forward in your stance. This will influence you to put more weight on the lead foot. This will promote a proper strike. You should always have about 60% of your weight on the lead foot.
#2: THE BACK SWING
28 Frenchman’s Creek
#2 THE BACKSWING Create a wide back swing by maintaining the triangle created by your arms and the shoulders to eliminate a steep attack angle. You don’t want to feel a downward strike here. This should feel like a putting motion.
#3: THE FOLLOW THROUGH This is important! You want to maintain the triangle all the way through impact. This will ensure clean contact and a shallow angle attack through the impact zone.
#4: DOWN THE LINE As it is with all shots in golf, it is vital to make sure you are aligned properly. Do not waste good shots due to poor alignment! There is a big difference between where you think you are aiming and where you are actually aiming.
#5: DISTANCE CONTROL Your control of distance will be determined on the length of your swing. Keep in mind, this is a putting stroke with a lofted hybrid so treat your distance control like you would with your putter. It will take some time to adjust your feel with this shot, but it’s a tool that all golfers should have.

I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates about our Labor Day Creek Ball celebration and more! From a new App to Tennis Team updates to Padel and pickleball highlights, we have a lot to share with you this month. LABOR DAY CREEK BALL CELEBRATION Our Labor Day Creek Ball event brought together 11 enthusiastic members for a spirited morning on the courts. Friendly matches were filled with great rallies, teamwork, and plenty of laughter - making it the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. Beyond the competition, the event highlighted the camaraderie and community spirit that Creek Ball continues to foster here at Frenchman’s Creek. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. LAUNCHING THE NEW CLUB APP: PACESETTER At our September Racquet Committee meeting Alyssa Riegel, Director of Marketing and Communications, shared an exciting preview of PaceSetter, our new club app launching this fall. Designed to enhance communication and streamline reservations, the app will make it easier than ever for members to stay connected and engaged. WHY THE CHANGE? Our current “Members First” system has proven inadequate for racquet sports needs, particularly with reservations and timely communication. ON THE COURTS
Committee members will participate in beta testing and provide feedback, while subcommittees will recommend customizations for their respective areas.
We are excited for members to experience this new, modern platform!
PADEL & PICKLEBALL UPDATES Our professional staff and Racquet Committee have been closely following industry trends, including the explosive growth of Padel. We’ve gathered data from other leading clubs and are planning padel excursions to nearby facilities this season. These outings will give our members the chance to try the sport firsthand and help us gauge engagement for future planning. On the pickleball front, we are working with the local pickleball league—which currently includes over 800 players from area clubs—to explore Frenchman’s Creek participation in away matches only. With our own pickleball courts scheduled to open in Spring 2026, this would be a fantastic opportunity for our players to get involved and compete locally in the meantime. We will be sending out additional information in the coming weeks. WHAT’S AHEAD THIS SEASON Excitement is building across all racquet sports as we prepare for a busy and memorable season: • Tennis Teams: Two ladies’ teams and one men’s team are getting organized with rosters, practice days, and uniforms. It’s going to be an action-packed season out on the courts! • Bocce Courts: Our bocce courts will receive a fresh look before the season kicks off, ensuring they’re in top shape for play. • Creek Ball Expansion: The conversion of additional Creek Ball courts remains on schedule and will be ready for members to enjoy before the season officially begins.
WHAT’S NEW • Court, clinic, and lesson reservations
• Paddle rentals and direct pro shop messaging • Event sign-ups and a member directory with photos & interests • Push notifications (court conditions, emergencies, updates) • Interactive court maps and improved user experience TIMELINE • Beta testing: mid-October (two weeks) • Full community launch: November 1st
Wishing you a wonderful October. See you on the courts soon!

Today we are going to focus on one of my favorite topics in tennis or any sport, really—footwork! TENNIS TIPS BY ZACH MCELROY If you have been on the court with me, or next to me as I can be quite loud, I am sure you may have heard me say the following: “Feet establish a rhythm!” Did you know that the average number of steps a professional tennis player takes between shots is 10-12? How many do you take? Not everyone can take 10-12 steps like the professionals do or leap tall buildings in a single bound, but what can be done is your absolute best. Just taking four to five steps can change everything. Your contact point, your placement of your ball, your location on the court can all potentially change your opponent’s mind where they think they should hit the ball. When moving your feet,
you can be instantly twice the player on the court compared with not moving.
Here’s a golf analogy for you—in golf, the ball is stationary, and you get to set it up however you like. We don’t have that luxury in tennis. We are always on the move and that ball is coming fast. If our feet can keep up with the ball, then we will be better off in every situation! If your lower body is not moving and you try to hit a hard ball by swinging fast, there will be zero balance. Ultimately, you will be fighting your own body, and your body needs to work together from top to bottom to maximize your true potential! It may be silly, but it is true—nobody likes a stiff on the dance floor or a tennis court! So, move those feet, have some fun and always remember that “Feet establish a rhythm!”

WELCOME, JESSICA COCHRAN OUR NEW DIRECTOR OF FITNESS, SPA & AQUATICS
We are delighted to have Jessica Cochran as our new Director of Fitness, Spa and Aquatics here at Frenchman’s Creek. No stranger to hospitality, Jessica has nearly 20 years of experience within the industry, including experience in the luxury private country club setting. Let’s catch up with Jessica to learn about her background, her family, and what she is looking forward to the most this season. HOW DID YOU LEARN ABOUT FRENCHMAN’S CREEK? While I hadn’t visited Frenchman’s Creek, I was aware of the community having met the previous director at several different spa events. When the role became available, I was encouraged to apply by a fellow professional in the industry. During my first conversation with Daniel, he discussed the
vision for expanding the wellness programming, the first phase of renovation that was occurring in fitness and the upcoming phases to include the spa and aquatics area. I immediately became intrigued. Once I visited Frenchman’s Creek and toured the property, I saw so much potential to expand and enhance the wellness areas. I knew this was a unique opportunity to be part of something special.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN THE INDUSTRY?
I have been in the wellness industry for about 20 years. I originally started working in a medical spa and surgical center in Boca Raton. That is where I fell in love with skincare and advanced spa services. From there I went to Boca West, as a manager for the spa. Over the years my responsibilities grew from managing the front
38 Frenchman’s Creek
desk staff, to overseeing all of the spa operations and expanding again to include overseeing all of fitness and aquatics operations as well. It was a natural progression in responsibility as all three areas worked harmoniously to provide an all- inclusive wellness experience. YOU’VE BEEN HERE FOR ALMOST A MONTH— WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU HAVE NOTICED? Definitely the culture. There is such a strong sense of community and family-like bond between members and staff. The atmosphere is welcoming and intimate and the interactions are friendly, caring and respectful. I love seeing staff fully engaged with the members, connecting in a way that is genuine and sincere. I am surrounded by a team of professionals who have welcomed me into the fold with immense support, patience and kindness. The magnitude of warm welcomes, good wishes and offers for help extended by the members is truly astounding. All of this reflects a solid, hospitable culture Frenchman’s Creek should be proud of! HOW DOES YOUR PASSION FOR WELLNESS INTEGRATE INTO YOUR PERSONAL LIFE? To me the wellness journey is a way of life. It’s about the healthy choices we make daily, the intentions behind your actions and how you take care of yourself from the inside out. My husband and I are lucky parents to two very athletic boys, ages 9 and 13. Our approach to wellness at home is based on staying active and cultivating healthy habits that become part of your daily routine. Both boys play sports year-round. They train, practice and play hard. Our evenings and weekends are spent on various fields or ice rinks. My husband also plays hockey several times a week and I love to run and practice yoga. Together as a family, we ride mountain bikes, swim and snorkel. Being active is just one part of the equation. My husband and I talk to our boys about nutrition and being mindful about how you fuel your body, we help them understand how food choices and hydration levels affect how you move, think and feel. DO YOU COOK? I love to cook. My husband is Italian and loves food passionately—he’s adventurous and always willing
to try something new. I like to take recipes and tweak them to suit my families’ preferences. My signature dish is a Tuscan Chicken, which includes a creamy basil sauce, parmesan cheese, spinach and tomatoes. ARE YOU A NATIVE FLORIDIAN? I grew up in Georgia, in a suburb of Atlanta, but have been in South Florida for 18 years, so it’s home. WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST THIS SEASON? I’m really looking forward to getting to know the membership. I want to meet as many people as I can and learn about their interests and where they are currently in their wellness journey. I’m excited to collaborate with staff to develop new programming that caters to the Frenchman’s Creek lifestyle and allows everyone to continue doing what they love, in a healthy and happy way! WHAT IS ONE NEW THING IN THE FITNESS CENTER? Aside from the beautiful newly renovated space, we also have brand new Technogym equipment coming in, that is top of the line and designed to enhance performance. We also have new virtual training options that use cutting-edge technology and innovation to create customized workouts. I think the members are going to love learning about all of the new and exciting ways to incorporate fitness into their lifestyle.
