POINTERS FROM A PRO JORDAN MATHERS, HEAD GOLF PROFESSIONAL
THIS MONTH, JORDAN MATHERS WALKS US THROUGH CHIPPING WITH YOUR HYBRID.
When you want to get the ball rolling smoothly on the green from just off the fringe or light rough, chipping with your hybrid is a great strategy. Unlike a wedge, which produces more loft and spin, a hybrid allows for a lower, bump-and-run style shot that behaves more like a putt. This technique is especially useful on tight lies or when you have plenty of green to work with. #1 SETUP You should place the ball forward in your stance. This will influence you to put more weight on the lead foot. This will promote a proper strike. You should always have about 60% of your weight on the lead foot.
#2: THE BACK SWING
