#2 THE BACKSWING Create a wide back swing by maintaining the triangle created by your arms and the shoulders to eliminate a steep attack angle. You don’t want to feel a downward strike here. This should feel like a putting motion.
#3: THE FOLLOW THROUGH This is important! You want to maintain the triangle all the way through impact. This will ensure clean contact and a shallow angle attack through the impact zone.
#4: DOWN THE LINE As it is with all shots in golf, it is vital to make sure you are aligned properly. Do not waste good shots due to poor alignment! There is a big difference between where you think you are aiming and where you are actually aiming.
#5: DISTANCE CONTROL Your control of distance will be determined on the length of your swing. Keep in mind, this is a putting stroke with a lofted hybrid so treat your distance control like you would with your putter. It will take some time to adjust your feel with this shot, but it’s a tool that all golfers should have.
