The Current | October 2025

I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates about our Labor Day Creek Ball celebration and more! From a new App to Tennis Team updates to Padel and pickleball highlights, we have a lot to share with you this month. LABOR DAY CREEK BALL CELEBRATION Our Labor Day Creek Ball event brought together 11 enthusiastic members for a spirited morning on the courts. Friendly matches were filled with great rallies, teamwork, and plenty of laughter - making it the perfect way to celebrate the holiday. Beyond the competition, the event highlighted the camaraderie and community spirit that Creek Ball continues to foster here at Frenchman’s Creek. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us. LAUNCHING THE NEW CLUB APP: PACESETTER At our September Racquet Committee meeting Alyssa Riegel, Director of Marketing and Communications, shared an exciting preview of PaceSetter, our new club app launching this fall. Designed to enhance communication and streamline reservations, the app will make it easier than ever for members to stay connected and engaged. WHY THE CHANGE? Our current “Members First” system has proven inadequate for racquet sports needs, particularly with reservations and timely communication. ON THE COURTS

Committee members will participate in beta testing and provide feedback, while subcommittees will recommend customizations for their respective areas.

We are excited for members to experience this new, modern platform!

PADEL & PICKLEBALL UPDATES Our professional staff and Racquet Committee have been closely following industry trends, including the explosive growth of Padel. We’ve gathered data from other leading clubs and are planning padel excursions to nearby facilities this season. These outings will give our members the chance to try the sport firsthand and help us gauge engagement for future planning. On the pickleball front, we are working with the local pickleball league—which currently includes over 800 players from area clubs—to explore Frenchman’s Creek participation in away matches only. With our own pickleball courts scheduled to open in Spring 2026, this would be a fantastic opportunity for our players to get involved and compete locally in the meantime. We will be sending out additional information in the coming weeks. WHAT’S AHEAD THIS SEASON Excitement is building across all racquet sports as we prepare for a busy and memorable season: • Tennis Teams: Two ladies’ teams and one men’s team are getting organized with rosters, practice days, and uniforms. It’s going to be an action-packed season out on the courts! • Bocce Courts: Our bocce courts will receive a fresh look before the season kicks off, ensuring they’re in top shape for play. • Creek Ball Expansion: The conversion of additional Creek Ball courts remains on schedule and will be ready for members to enjoy before the season officially begins.

WHAT’S NEW • Court, clinic, and lesson reservations

• Paddle rentals and direct pro shop messaging • Event sign-ups and a member directory with photos & interests • Push notifications (court conditions, emergencies, updates) • Interactive court maps and improved user experience TIMELINE • Beta testing: mid-October (two weeks) • Full community launch: November 1st

Wishing you a wonderful October. See you on the courts soon!
