GREGG CHAMBERLAIN gregg.chamberlain@eap.on.ca ANOTHER GREAT OKTOBERFEST This year’s festival, celebrating beer and good cheer, proved as popular as ever with steady crowds dancing and listening to the variety of live music, from traditional toe-tap- ping polka to classic rock, at the two stages. In between the music, there were feats of strength challenges for anyone willing to step into the ring and try tossing a beer keg or step up onto the exhibition stage and attempt to hold five-pounds worth of a full beer stein at full arm’s length for the longest time without bending an elbow. The weather was perfect for another great Beau’s Oktoberfest weekend in Vankleek Hill. “I’m so happy to be here, I love it!” was the declaration from one visitor to the Van- kleek Hill fair grounds, as she and her friends rushed through the gate to check out all the activities and attractions offered to them and hundreds of others who came to Vankleek Hill, over the September 21 weekend, for the 2019 Oktoberfest.
