Transformation 2024 will focus on: • Ensuring that every UCA student receives a highly personalised education • Embedding employability and internationalisation throughout its curriculum • Building meaningful, active, and participatory global engagement that is sensitive to local needs and contributes to change • Building on an intellectual and research culture based on challenge, diversity of thought and impact on creative industries The “pillars” of our ambitious change programme are diverse and wide ranging and include: • A revision of our Academic Portfolio and the creation of Centres of Excellence, consolidating schools into single sites • The reinvigoration of our UK Campuses • The creation of UCA Digital • The opening of multiple campuses outside of the UK As Transformation Programme Manager you will play a pivotal role in its success. As the glue that holds it together, you will oversee, coordinate and facilitate the delivery of Transformation 2024. Role Profile
Job Title: Transformation Programme Manager Location: Farnham Hours of Work: 36.25 hours per week Grade: 11 Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
Summary of Main Job Purpose:
To oversee, coordinate and drive forward the delivery of the University’s Transformation 2024, change programme. Providing active communication between project sponsors, project leads and stakeholders, to ensure that projects are successfully delivered according to plan, budget and timescales, and interdependent projects are effectively aligned. Working with programme sponsors, provide direction, support and coaching to project teams and provide robust high-level monitoring and reports, challenge and scrutiny to the programme as a whole.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
1. Drive forward and oversee delivery of the University’s 2024 transformation programme, at pace, ensuring effective governance across all projects from inception, through to completion. 2. Ensure active and timely communication and coordination between all project leads to ensure that interdependent projects are aligned and delivered effectively and that the benefits are fully optimised. 3. To be responsible for the overall coordination of project governance, taking an overview of activities across all projects, interrogating them where necessary and being the single point of control for the Transformation Oversight Group (TOG) with regards to proposals, progress, cost, risk, communications and decisions. To provide options and recommendations to TOG and the University’s Leadership Team (LT) to enable their decision-making.

4. Be the link between all projects (‘pillars of success’) of the transformation programme. Provide value-adding, consolidated summary reports on a regular basis, to be used as a catalyst for the taking of action and timely decision- making by TOG and LT. 5. Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders, fostering an environment of collaboration and engagement. 6. Proactively seek out and tackle challenges that will prevent the delivery of transformation projects according to delivery targets. 7. Provide a centre of expertise for project management activity across the University, acting as a subject matter expert. Provide training/coaching to project leads on the project management frameworks/methodologies where required and advise on best practice principles. 8. Develop (in collaboration with Projects Leads and the Communications team) informative and value adding communications to ensure all stakeholders, employees and students (as appropriate) are fully aware of impending programmes of change or key projects within the University. 9. Support stakeholders in the creation of impact assessments for schools and departments affected by change programmes. Regularly review the stakeholder community to assess potential change fatigue and develop mitigation plans where appropriate. 10.Define and be the central hub to comply with audit requirements, ensuring effective quality assurance and the overall integrity of the programme. 11. Support project leads in preparing and providing timely, high-quality information to project sponsors to enable decision-making.
12. Identify further opportunities for change initiatives that would deliver measurable business improvement.

Selection Criteria
Criteria Essential Qualification in an agile project management methodology (e.g SCRUM) Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering multiple transformation projects at pace with a range of project types and stakeholders Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to establish credibility and quickly form effective working relationships with projects leads and sponsors
Able to execute multiple projects and juggle numerous requests with minimal guidance in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
