Trimetys contributed to setting up École Paul et Virginie in 2003. The Group has a non-financial involve - ment in this pre-primary and primary school in Tamarin for children aged 3 to 10 years.

Performance Review C OVID-19has clearlyhadamajor impact on the region and its inhabitants, but École Paul et Virginie has made all the necessary distance learning arrange- ments to continue providing quality education and assist pupils through this challenging period.

The school has apartnershipagreement with theAEFE (Agencepour l’enseigne- ment français à l’étranger, a national public agency that assures the quality of schools teaching the French nation- al curriculum outside of France) and is attended by some 400 children from preschool to the last year of primary education (CM2). Developed in phases to respond to a growing population in the region, the ultimate aim of École Paul et Virginie is to have four classes per level f rom grades 1 (CP) through 5 (CM) to contrib-

ute to delivering child-friendly, quali- ty education in a verdant setting. The Management Committeehas approved the third and final construction phase in November 2019. A new building will housecycle3classes, allowingtheschool to accommodate up to 600 pupils. Moreover, the school has achieved the Eco-School Bronze Award. Driven by a philosophy of learning from our differ- ences to grow, École Paul et Virginie also provides two supportmechanisms to serve a broader diversity of pupils, includingchildrenwith learningdifficul -
