Principle 6 Reporting with Integrity

In addition to promoting Equal Employment Opportunity, the Group encourages a culture of ‘Putting People First’ to attract and retain collaborators and induce a sound work environment to enhance productivity. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) The Group recognises its responsibility towards society. It believes that CSR can alsohelp improve the perceptionof the Groupamong collaborators, particularly through community volunteering andother relevant activities. CSRalso reinforces the presence of the Group in the community.

The Board is responsible for preparing the Annual Report and Financial Statements for the Group in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The Financial Statements are prepared as per the requirements of the International Financial Reporting Standards and the Companies Act 2001. TheAnnual Report will be sent to the shareholders andmade available on thewebsite of theCompany (trimetys.com) after approval by the Board. Environmental Initiatives The Group is aware of environmental issues and the impor- tance of protecting the environment. As such, the Group has already started taking initiatives and will continue to find new and better ways to become more sustainable and environmentally responsible. (Refer to the Environmental Capital section on page 58 for more details.) Safety and Health Policy Trimetys Ltd is committed to ensuring a healthy working environment, free from risks and hazards for all through the provision and maintenance of a safe workplace and work system using appropriate training, supervision and communication. The Group uses the best of its abilities to ensure compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2005 and relevant regulations. In line with this, a Safety &HealthOfficer ensures the Group’s Safety andHealth stan - dards are maintained. (Refer to theHumanCapital section onpages 60-61 formore details.) Equal Employment Opportunity In order to provide equal employment opportunities, the decisions of the Group are based on merit, qualifications and abilities.

Principle 7 Audit Internal Audit

The Group has outsourced the internal audit function for some sectors for 2019/2020. An Internal Auditor has been appointed in April 2021. External Auditors RSM (Mauritius) LLP was appointed as external auditor of the Company and most of its subsidiaries from 4 February 2020. The replacement or reappointment of external audi- tors is subject to the recommendations of the Board to the shareholders of the Company. The Company fully complies with the provisions of the Companies Act 2001 as far as the appointment or reappoint- ment of external auditors is concerned. RSM (Mauritius) LLP also provided tax services as non-audit services to the Company for the past financial year. PwC Mauritius was reappointed as external auditor of Cap Tamarin Ltée, the Smart City Company in 2020. Independence of External Auditors TheCompany expects that the auditors always keep an inde- pendent and impartial approachwhile ensuring strongbusi- ness and professional ethics when providing their auditing services and more specifically non-auditing services. They are expected to immediately report to theGroup any conflict or potential conflict of interest of any kind.
