The Sixth Annual NASTAR Awards Program

Meghan (Meg) Ceglie, a library media specialist and instructional technology staff developer at Lynbrook Public Schools, provides workshops and training for staff, assists students with their instructional technology needs, and sets a high standard of excellence with creative projects. She is an exemplary candidate for the NASTAR award for innovative instructional technology implementation, offering unparalleled support to teachers navigating the integration of technology into their pedagogical approaches. Through her dedication and gained expertise as a former elementary library-media specialist, Meghan empowers educators, transforms classroom practices, and fosters environments where technology enhances learning experiences. To say Leslie Dalis Watnik has been an integral part of the technology program in the Great Neck Public Schools is an understatement; Leslie designs lessons, develops units, and writes curriculum to ensure that Great Neck elementary students receive a cutting-edge, innovative technology education. The success of the elementary technology program reflects Leslie’s hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Leslie never stops innovating, always looking for new ways to engage her students and ensure that the skills they learn are relevant. Above all, Leslie truly cares about her students and provides them with the best educational experience possible. As Leslie prepares for her retirement, she is presented with a NASTAR award in recognition of her incredibly large contribution to the school district. Teresa jumped in head first into her new role as Digital Literacy Coach and has accomplished so much in her first year. She developed a Technology Scope and Sequence with her district colleagues and coordinated the logistics for our Apple Distinguished Educator initiative. Teresa worked tirelessly to help the technology in our schools function well for our students, teachers, and staff, and did it all with overflowing positive energy and a good sense of humor. VS30 is so lucky to have her!
