Ali Morgan has demonstrated a commitment to the Massapequa school community and instructional technology programs. Her commitment has driven the seamless integration of technology into instruction and allowed for the successful implementation of countless technology initiatives. Ali is known for her responsiveness and ability to develop, encourage, and guide staff, which has positively impacted students and learning in the Massapequa district. Diane Nodell is a Library Media Specialist at a primary school, committed to fostering a love for reading and learning among students. With her extensive knowledge of children's literature and educational resources, Diane creates a welcoming and enriching environment within the school library. She curates diverse collections that cater to the varied interests and learning styles of her young learners. Diane integrates technology and multimedia resources seamlessly into her teaching, enhancing students' digital literacy skills. She teaches young learners the fundamentals of coding, computational thinking, and robotics through engaging and age-appropriate activities. Diane's innovative approach expands students' horizons and instills confidence in their ability to navigate and contribute to the digital world. She also collaborates with teachers to integrate literature and technology into classroom curriculum. Diane's warmth, creativity, and dedication make her an indispensable asset to the school community. Mrs. Safak Ozsut-Giray, known as Oz, is an important member of the IT Department at Port Washington UFSD. She has been with the district for four years and has had a tremendous impact on the teaching and learning of K-12 teachers. Oz is patient, hardworking, and a powerful leader. Her work to support software, data, and hardware has helped teachers and students solve problems, improve their abilities and understanding, and move the district towards her vision for instructional excellence. Oz challenges the status quo, invests in teachers, and encourages them to “try something new.” For all of these reasons and more, Oz is Port Washington's NASTAR!
