Pupils as teachers! Taking over

CLEVER KIDS Mrs Johnson put her feet up and relaxed whilst Henry and Theo took over Computing Club in their final week. They taught the children how to create a maze game on Purple Mash. The children had a great time designing a game and then played each others. I think we may have two teachers of the future in Theo and Henry!

GREEK FINALE Abbey was the scene of ancient excitement during the last week of the summer term. Year 3 (now Y4) pupils transported parents back in time with their sensational ‘Greek Workshop’. The young stars donned togas, whipped up tasty treats, and dazzled the crowd with a show-stopping performance of Greek actions, songs, and words. The classroom and hall was transformed into a bustling Greek marketplace, with pupils taking centre stage. “I loved making the food and serving parents,” beamed one enthusiastic pupil, still glowing from the day’s success. Parents were left in awe as the children belted out catchy Greek tunes and acted out legendary tales. “It was absolutely brilliant!” said one proud mum. “The children clearly worked so hard and really brought Ancient Greece to life.” The event was a smash hit, with everyone agreeing that Abbey’s Year 3 had truly earned their place in the history books!
