Fire! Y2 turn the heat up.
FLAMES Year 2 turned up the heat in history class with a day of daring, drama and delicious treats! Children rolled up their sleeves to bake authentic 17th century-style biscuits using flour, sugar and butter—warm, crumbly and absolutely delicious. What did they really enjoy? Building Tudor houses in teams of three, pushing their creativity, problem ‑ solving skills and teamwork to the limit as they designed sturdy streets from the past. Gasps and wide eyes all round as the model houses were set alight to recreate how the Great Fire began in Pudding Lane, bringing history to blazing life in spectacular fashion. From sizzling science to teamwork triumphs, it was a blockbuster lesson the children won’t forget in a hurry.
