Sublime animals! Mixing it up
Y1 SUBLIME Year 1 children were catapulted into the world of famous scientists with an immersive start to their exciting topic. Alexander Fleming, Patsy Sherman and Tim Berners- Lee were some of the scientists who were brought to life as they delved into their remarkable contributions. In a hands-on experiment, these budding geniuses concocted their very own slime, channeling their inner scientists. The children were ecstatic, exclaiming it was the "best" experience ever! From bread with mould to karate-chopping cups, these pint-sized scientists are ready to conquer the world! GO WILD Reception students embarked on a thrilling adventure as they came face-to-face with a magnificent zoo of animals at Abbey. From slithering snakes to hairy tarantulas, these brave youngsters marvelled at the wonders of the animal kingdom. In a jaw-dropping display, they witnessed the slow- motion flight of an awe-inspiring owl, captivating their imaginations. Not to be outdone, a chameleon showcased its incredible colour-changing abilities, leaving the children in awe. This wild encounter not only sparked excitement but also provided a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn animal-based language and fascinating information about these incredible creatures.
Reception students truly embraced the wild side and made memories that will last a lifetime!
