A whole new world! Theatre

UNDER THE SEA Year 5 pupils from Abbey dove into a magical adventure last week with a trip to the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham to see PwC's annual pantomime, "The Little Mermaid”. The youngsters were among 8,000 children from inner-city schools, charities, and community groups invited to enjoy the show. The pantomime, put together by 250 PwC staff and alumni, tells the story of Aria, a mermaid who makes a deal with her aunt Hydra to become human. With the help of her friends, Aria navigates the challenges of her transformation, while Hydra plots to take over the underwater kingdom. The performance was not only a fun day out for the students but also introduced them to the world of performing arts. The annual pantomime supports a different charity each year, and this year, PwC is working with Nacoa (The National Association for Children of Alcoholics)1. The children enjoyed free transportation to the show and an interval snack, courtesy of generous sponsors.
