In the field, George Henderson and Matthieu Ladure delivered excellent performances, with George throwing 47.5m in the hammer and Matthieu reaching 30.14m in the javelin. Both teams’ results in the opening rounds earned them places in the Regional A Finals. The Junior Boys delivered another outstanding team effort, improving on their previous score with 446 points and securing third place overall. The Inter Boys went one better, finishing second with a superb 498 points, narrowly missing out on qualification for the National Finals. The school maintains a proud tradition in multi- event competitions, encouraging athletes to engage in the full spectrum of track and field disciplines. It has been inspiring to see so many boys embrace this philosophy through both training and competition. At the Combined Events Championships, Seth Ridgeon secured first place in London and finished fourth overall, while Oliver Chesney achieved third place in London and fifth overall in the Inter Boys category. A special congratulations goes to the Junior Boys team of Milo Bernard, Curtis Abbey, and Freddie Brown, who achieved a clean sweep in London by finishing first, second, and third respectively. Following their strong performances at the Southwark Schools Championships, a number of boys were selected to represent the borough at the London Schools Track & Field Championships in May. It was fantastic to see so many Dulwich pupils competing at such a high standard on a wider stage.
