Charlotte’s time at Dulwich was short but impactful as she bought her skills and experience from several years heading up school libraries in China and threw herself into the work of all three of our libraries from the start. In the Junior School, Charlotte assisted Hazel Forbes with many author talks including high- profile visits from David Baddiel and Alexander Armstrong. In the Chandler and Wodehouse Libraries we greatly valued her input into our book groups and into the Lower School newspaper, The Dulwich Despatch, which she jointly edited for the Christmas edition. We all benefited from her expertise and skills in designing posters and her patience in teaching us how we could also up our poster design game! Sadly, Charlotte’s stay with us was short but we wish her and her husband well as they start a new chapter together in New York. ◎

In his short time at Dulwich, Richard has made a significant and lasting impact both in and out of the classroom. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and committed, he quickly built strong rapport with pupils and left a positive mark on those he taught. Richard has really thrived in the classroom and he has taught his classes with care and dedication stretching the brightest and supporting all his pupils equally. His love of the subject is always evident in all that he does with both pupils and staff. Outside the classroom, Richard’s passions lie in football and golf — though it’s fair to say one stands out more than the other. He played a key role as coach of the 1 st XI Football squad, generously dedicating his time during the week, on weekends, and even in the holidays. His contributions were instrumental in the team reaching the last 16 in both the ISFA and ESFA national competitions. Affectionately dubbed Dulwich’s “set piece coach” by an opposing player, Richard’s dedication, energy, drive, and competitive spirit have made him an invaluable part of the football programme. His presence will be deeply missed by both staff and students. It has been a genuine pleasure working with Richard, and we wish him every success in the future. ◎

Glen arrived into the Design and Technology Department for a one-year cover with little fuss and made an immediate positive impact, quickly proving himself as someone who thrives on being busy and involved. From teaching Year 7s to Year 12s, his workshop has been a place of energy, clarity and good humour – earning him the respect and rapport of students across the board. Always willing to step up, Glen has never shied away from a challenge and has become a go-to figure whenever something needs doing. Whether coaching rugby or fine-tuning tactics on the tank fields in football, Glen has shown himself to be endlessly adaptable. In the summer, he is easy to spot — never far from a bottle of sun- cream and umpiring cricket with the effortless authority of someone born to wear a Panama hat. His dedication to the rowing programme further emphasises his commitment to all aspects of Dulwich life as a brilliant “school master”. Committed and quietly ambitious, Glen has left his mark in a relatively short space of time. We’ll miss his occasional dry wit, reliability and clear enthusiasm for all aspects of school life. Our loss is certainly Charterhouse’s gain and I know that I speak on behalf of everyone at the College when I say that we wish him the best for the next chapter. ◎
