Role Overview
We are seeking to appoint to the important role of Head of Capital Planning and Programme Delivery. Reporting to the Director of Estates and Development, this role will lead on developing the capital investment strategy and delivering the capital implementation plan ensuring that all projects emanating from the strategy are delivered to the highest quality and sustainability credentials. The postholder will lead an internal team of project management professionals as well as multidisciplinary external teams in the planning and delivery of large scale new build developments and refurbishment schemes to smaller scale estate improvement projects and capital maintenance programmes. The successful candidate will possess significant experience of leading capital projects and programmes in a similar context. You will strong leadership and management skills, with the ability and track record of managing internal staff as well as external supply chain. You will have a track record of working with large complex organisations with multi-building, high-footfall and technically complex estate portfolios. It is essential that the successful candidate possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to successfully build relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders on the planning and delivery of major capital programmes.
