Organic produce’s strongest rate of sales growth compared to conventional occurred around April. Packaged salads remained the largest driver of organic fresh produce dollars in 2021 with sales topping $1.5 billion. Berries followed close behind with sales of $1.47 billion, and apples took third place with sales of over $660 million.
