Colleen snapped a picture of me with Posta at his room at the Urbana Hotel Six. Wish I had a haircut before!
Actually, because of my late wife, this wonderful interaction occurred. Frantisek himself understood how special she was.
Posta seemed to have an intuitive sense about people. For example, he advised me to keep a “professional” distance between myself and the bass students at the U of I. They were only a few years younger than I and he said that I was too familiar with them. He sensed a real “problem” and that was probably why he wrote to my supervisor, Dr. Robert Bays.
The supervisor thought nothing of Frantisek’s card and said to me, “Hey, Joe why don’t you just take this.”
