CAPTE is the gold standard when it comes to accreditation. It’s the only Physical Therapy accreditation agency that is recognized by both the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Currently, there are only 371 PTA programs nationally that have earned this accreditation. To Get There. Associate in Science, PTA You’ve completed your pre-requisites and have been accepted into the PTA program. All the knowledge and lab work has prepared you To Get There for the next level of your experience. It’s now that you and your classmates will rely on each other for support, encouragement, and maybe a little friendly competition. Your professors bring real- world experience to your state-of-the-art, dedicated PTA classroom with computers, and two, spacious labs with all the equipment you need to master the skills to be successful in physical therapy. During your journey, your professors will share their passion for physical therapy, practical experience and extra knowledge for your benefit - every step of the way. Start Here. Pre-PTA Your pathway to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant Starts Here by taking four, Health Sciences classes with labs, and six General Education courses. As you near completion of these classes and labs, and have a cumulative 2.75 GPA or higher in science and overall, it’s time to complete your application for the PTA program. Our professors will bring your studies alive with practical experience as you learn about biology, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. Your general education courses are available to you in a blended format and are taught by professors with a passion for your success.
