day.” That was his way of saying “ thank you.” In our lesson today, we shall find how Paul said “ thank you” to the Lord Jesus for saving him. He did it by telling others about Jesus’ love for them. LESSON STORY: At *one time, Paul lived in the home of Aquila and his wife Priscilla, and helped them with their work of making tents. As their needles moved in and out of the heavy cloth, they talked of the Lord Jesus whom they loved. Perhaps Paul would say: “Oh, I am so thankful He saved me!” And Aquila and Priscilla would answer, “W i are, too!” It was easy to talk about !lesus to those who loved Him. But Paul even spoke to those who were angry and cruel. It pleased th'e Lord so much when Paul did this, that once He came to him “ in the night by a vision [and said]: Be not afraid, but speak . . . for I am with thee and no man shall . . . hurt thee” (18:10). Paul had so much love in his heart for Jesus that he told everybody about Him, whether they were friends who were kind to him, or whether they were bad men who wanted to hurt him. Love in our hearts will help us to say “ thank you” "to God in three ways: by our words, by our loving of others, and by the gifts of money that we bring to Him. Let us ask Him to help us to love Him more, so that we can give back to Him a big “thank you.” Object Lesson L a s t in g L e tte r s OBJECTS: A capital “ F,” a capital “H,” and a capital “L.” (Use a piece of paper 8% x ll inches, and two pieces 5 V 2 X 8 Y 2 inches. LESSON: If I should ask you what you see on the board you would say, “ A capital ‘F.’ ” We shall see soon that there is much more than this. This “ F” reminds us of the word faith. As long as Christians are on the earth, there w ill be faith. This “ F” represents a lasting truth. “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Out of the “F” we pull a piece of paper, which when unfolded makes an “H.” It suggests the word hope. [Thumbtack to the board, to the right of the “ F.” ] There will be hope in God, as long as there are Christians on the earth. This, too, reminds us of a lasting truth. We pull again, and from under the “ F” there comes a capital “ L.” [Thumbtack to the right of the “H.” ] We shall let it remind us of love— Christian love. It also is a lasting word, for there w ill be love on the earth as long as there are Christians in the world. These three letters call to mind the words of the Apostle Paul, “But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love” (1 Cor. 13:13, R. V.). ’ 560 S. Hope St.
