1. Breath of God “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be ac- ceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer” (Psa. 19:14). Breathe on me, Breath of God, Fill me with life anew; That I •may love what Thou dost love, And dp what Thou wouldst do.

Until with Thee I will one.will, To do, or, to endure. Breathe on me. Breath of God, Till I am wholly Thine; Till all this earthly part of me Glows with Thy fire divine. Ingredients of Love “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temper ance’/ (Gal. 5:22, 23). I saw something in writing the oth er day, which I just took a copy of: “The fruit of the Spirit is in just one word—love. Joy is love exalted; peace is love in repose; long-suffering is love enduring; gentleness is love in society; goodness is love in action; faith is love on the'battlefield; meek ness is love in school; and temperance is love in training. So you can say that the fruit is all expressed by one word—love.”—D. L. Moody. Fear's Antidote “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee” (Psa. 56:3). How often we are filled With fear as we contemplate the ways of God! There are so many things that we cannot understand. But the Lord Jesus is here with every one of His own—here to put forth His hand, to say, “Be not afraid.” It is the touch of assurance. Are you trembling in fear? Trust Him. No matter how dark the cloud may be above, be as sured of the truth of Romans 8:28. —H. A. Ironside. Death Versus Life “Reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Rom. 6:11). A lady once said, “ I have worried and fretted over the want of self’s death. I have done everything I could to kill self, and it seems more active than ever!” The lady was making the same mistake as the unconverted make, when they want to feel saved before they believe on the Lord Jesus as their Saviour. The Holy Spirit says that self has been judged in Christ on the cross. . . ., “But,”- you say, “self is very much alive.” “ Reckon yourself dead.” . . . To reckon anything is simply to believe God’s Word.—F. E. Marsh. , —Edwin Hatch 2. 3. 4.
