ACCESSIBILITY MATTERS: TRANSLATING MATERIAL FOR TEACHERS GLOBALLY All IEA teacher publications are available for translation and adaptation; material is more useful for teachers when offered in the language of instruction. Anabela Serrão, PIRLS 2026 NRC for Portugal comments: “Translating Teacher Snippets into Portuguese is an excellent working tool for teachers and contributes to the implementation of the Portuguese National Reading Plan.” Material is available in Arabic, Dutch, Georgian, Irish, Kazakh, Lithuanian, Polish, Portuguese, and Spanish. Material is being produced in Hindi, Latvian, and Serbian. Data collection for PIRLS 2026 will begin next year. The teacher materials highlight the value PIRLS offers and can be used to advocate for study participation. ■
