To Get There. Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene You understand the value of a beautiful smile and want to help others enjoy the confidence it brings. To Get There for your Bachelor’s degree, you’ll bring everything you learned from your Associate’s pre- dental degree and take it to the next level. Your path to becoming a Dental Hygienist includes classes in dental anatomy, histology and physiology, head and neck anatomy, dental radiology and periodontology, along with hands-on experience to apply what you learn in our advanced dental simulation lab. You’ll also provide dental hygiene care to patients in our state-of-the-art community dental clinic. Start Here. Pre-Dental or Foundations of Dental Assisting Certificate Your pathway to becoming a dental professional Starts Here. In just six weeks , you can earn a Foundations of Dental Assisting certificate. Classes are held on Saturdays on campus, where you’ll learn basic dental terminology, anatomy, instrument sterilization, communication and patient privacy, appointment scheduling, financial arrangements, and inventory maintenance. You’ll also learn how to prepare and mix dental impression materials and stone models for diagnostic purposes. Our Associate’s degree with a pre-dental focus is designed to give you the foundational knowledge needed for our Dental Hygiene program. Your classes include biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, nutrition, sociology, and pathophysiology. You’ll be immersed in modern classes and labs as you learn from professors who are engaging, enthusiastic, and favorites among our students!
