AIS Mission Statement Florida artists William Schultz, Charlotte Dickinson and Marjorie Bradley of Vero Beach, and Pauline Ney of Ellenton, founded the American Impressionis t Society, Inc. (AIS) with this goal in mind: “ To promote the appreciation of American Impressionism through exhibitions, workshops, videos and other media. ” Membership Artist memberships are open to American Impressionist artists who are legal United States residents. Supporting memberships are open to anyone who would like to support our mission of promoting the genre of American Impressionism. AIS is a 501(c)(3) non profit corporation. Contributions to AIS are tax deductible. For a full list of membership benefits visit the AIS website. Associate Members All new members begin at the level of Associate and jurying is not required for membership. AIS Associate Members in good standing may enter the AIS National Juried Exhibition and the AIS Impressions Small Works Showcase , AIS Online Exhibition and AIS Associate Member Online Exhibition (additional entry fee required). Signature Members Associate Members who have been accepted into three AI S Na tional Juried Exhibitions, or two AIS National and two AIS Small Works Showca ses, AND who have been an Associate Member for a minimum of three consecutive years (including the years of acceptance into the exhibitions), may apply for Signature status. Applications are accepted Oct 1 - Nov 15 each year. Application form is available on our website. Signature Members in good standing may enter AI S National Exhibiti on and AIS Small Works Showcase , AIS All Member Online Exhibition (additional entry fee required), may use the initials “ AIS ” after their name. Annual dues ($60) must be paid to maintain Signature status. Master Artist Members Master Artist members are invited by the AIS Board of Directors and may use the initials “ AISM ” after their name. Masters are selected carefully and are nationally known and considered to be leaders in the art community. They epitomize the highest level of impressionism and passionately give back to the society by sharing their knowledge.
