One at a Time A SIMPLE WAY TO TURN NEGATIVE THOUGHTS INTO POSITIVE ONES

Did you know you can only think one thought at a time? Thousands of thoughts arise in the mind each day, but at any given moment, you can only think one thing. And research has shown that those thoughts have consequences for our physical and mental health. Positive thinking keeps us healthy and helps us live longer, happier lives. Negative thinking, however, can lead to health issues and even decrease our life span. After years of working hard, raising a family, and dealing with whatever has come your way, you deserve to enjoy this season of your life. If that’s been difficult to do lately, the

good news is your brain is adaptable, and you can even use a simple strategy to bring more positive thoughts to mind. If you find yourself thinking a negative thought, simply replace it with a more positive one. That’s it! Since you can only think one thought at a time, this helps shift your mood and build the habit of positive thinking. And it’s not as hard as you might imagine. For example, if you miss connecting with your extended family, instead of thinking, “It’s terrible we haven’t been able to get together lately,” replace that thought with, “I’m
