Once you obtain the certifications, use them effectively. Display them on your website, add them to your company's LinkedIn profile, attend organizational meetings to network with other members, introduce yourself to organization leaders, follow them on social media, and seek advice on next steps. Don't let the certification opportunity go to waste! Having the certification doesn't mean business will automatically come to you—you'll still need to pursue connections and opportunities. But now, you'll be on the radar. In today's environment, with the new WH Administration, one could argue if an MBE cert is worth it. I would say YES. Be proud of who you are and what you represent. Those companies and individuals looking to connect will now have a portal to find your service.

Those companies will also know that your business has met many verified criteria from banking to ownership to current tax filing and more; thus you are legitimate. Plus, the exposure and networking opportunities are what you need to be noticed. Be patient, be focused, and discover what doors these certifications can open for you. They serve as a beacon, signaling to others that you're an approved company meeting specific qualifications. So when you are Jumping up and down, you now have a Big sign stating who your are and what you bring. The next and last step is proving you deserve the customer and the business. Good luck with these improved odds!
