COVID-19 Pop-Up Testing Adequate COVID-19 testing has been a top priority for the Center for Health Equity. After reviewing local and national data that identified African American and Hispanic/Latino communities as high-risk for COVID-19 infection, Wellstar partnered with local public health departments to bring free, quality tests into safe, familiar environments.
Together, Wellstar and community partners, like faith communities in Wellstar’s Congregational Health Network, launched drive-thru and indoor pop-up testing sites. During testing events, residents also received “safety bundles” composed of prevention education, cloth masks, hand sanitizer and hygiene products.
