time trap to seek out additional job responsibilities to fill your time. Keep in mind that you won’t have the same op- portunities for productivity once you go back to a normal office environment. You and your employees should be clear about this so the extra work does not cause compli- cations when you get back into the work setting. Final Thoughts While it is not ideal to have a major shift in how you work, you can adapt to the situation with practice and fo- cus. Keep in mind that it takes time learning to balance all of the complex aspects of working remotely. Be creative in exploring all your options for maintaining a connection with those you work with. FTA Announces Theme, Chair For Fall Conference 2020 The Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) announced that Fall Conference 2020 will take place Oct. 5-7 at the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter. With a nod to the new decade, this year’s event is themed “Collaboration Achieves Perfect Vision” and will be chaired by FTA Hall of Fame Member Paul Lancelle of Miraclon Corp. “I’m very excited for the opportunity to chair Fall Con- ference 2020,” said Lancelle. “The venue choice of the greater Cincinnati area provides a great opportunity for printers and suppliers across all market segments to con- verge in a relatively central geographic location and a key flexo hub. Additionally, we’re in the process of formulating program content that should prove to be very appealing to technical and production professionals from upper man- agement, to prepress and graphics, and through to the pressroom floor.” Through eight technical sessions, the two-and-a-half- day program will take a look at how design, prepress best practices, color management, plates and pressroom tech- nologies can work in harmony to satisfy customers. Alongside those technical sessions, attendees will have the opportunity to discuss cutting-edge products, services and technologies with more than 60 companies at the Tabletop Exhibit. Registration for Fall Conference 2020 is now open, as is FTA’s room block at the Cincinnati Marriott, enabling attendees to get a discounted rate on their stay.
