155 S O a Christian worker the a- foresaid Scripture texts are a source of great comfort and satisfaction because one is made to realize that his labor is not in vain in the Lord, and thus one is en couraged to be ready in season and out of season. It has been a source of great blessing to us to learn of the re sults of years of seed sowing. Two cases just recently came to our notice through the students who are assigned to the Spanish Department. A young man in one of the camps which we visit regularly had heard the message and was asked to accept the Lord Jesus as his Saviour. At the time he did not accept, but after several months, through the efforts of a student who visits that camp, he became so inter ested in the message that he decided to take a day off from his work and make inquiry about the way of salva tion. In conversation later he confess ed that when we pressed him for a de cision, he then and there in his heart did accept Christ, but he did not tell us until later. Some people may douht the sincerity of the conversion of some of these Mexicans, hut, like Andrew who went after Sfmon, this Mexican went to a companion, winning him to the Lord and bringing him to our Wednesday evening Bible class at the Bible Insti tute, which is evidence of his sincerity and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Another similar case is that of a man who recently acknowledged acceptance of Christ. He, too, confessed that for four years he had heard us preach the Gospel in the different camps he had lived in, so for the encouragement of every Christian worker, I would recom mend continuance in spreading the Gos pel, for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. Breaking Down Barriers. At one of the camps where we visit and give Bible instruction from week to week, some of the friends of these be lievers had come for a visit the night of our meeting. They were invited to stay, which they did, and as a result they come over occasionally. While they have made no profession, yet they had courage enough to ask that we hold a cottage meeting at their home. Not only did we go, taking the group of believers, but the woman in this home also invited some of her neighbors in

THE K I N G ’ S B US I NE S S SHOP WORK SHOP WORK , Marion H. Reynolds, Sup erintendent. Th irty-tw o meetings are being held each week in the various shops, factories, car-barns and engine houses of the city, in addition to which the superin tendent o f the work visits many o f the men in their homes. B ERHAPS you will be Inter ested In knowing that our God has been very gracious to us this past month. Time and again the power of the Word has been borne in upon us during these past weeks. We are having the bless ing of seeing some results of the seed sowing of our Brother Cant, who for many years gave out the Word of God faithfully. Pray that as we sow, water and gather the fruit, it may not be done in our own strength but by His mighty power. While visiting one of the shops this past month, we were constrained by the Holy Spirit, after giving out the mes sage, to speak to one of the men who had been listening very attentively. After a few words, he said, “ I can hard ly sit still when you fellows come here and speak. It seems as though I should get up and do what you say, accept Jesus.” Praise God, it didn’t take long for him to do it when he felt that way, so before we left, we saw him resting in the finished work of Christ. Pray that he may be kept and made a shining light. The Right Stuff In another one of our shops at the close of a service, a big fellow came up, put his hand in ours and said, “ You sure have the right stuff.” In reply the writer said, “ Well, why do you reject it?” He said, “ I don’t.” The writer then showed him that if he hadn’t accepted it, he was rejecting it. Finally he said, “ Well, it’s the right thing to do and I will.” He was asked, “When?” and to this he answered, “ Now.” •¿¡6. M SPANISH WORK SPANISH WORK , Robert H. Bender, Superintendent. This includes Gospel meetings, Sunday •School classes and house-to-house visitation among the fifty thousand Spanish-speaking people in Los Angeles and vicinity. “ Cast thy bread upon the waters, for thou shalt find it after many days.” “ And therein is that saying true. One soweth and another reapeth.”
