THE K I N G ’ S B U S I NE S S And the heavens are rolled asunder, when He comes! “There’s a Man they thrust aside, who was tortured till He died, And He’ll find me hoein’ cotton when He comes; He was hated and rejected, He was scourged and crucified, But He’ll find me hoein’ cotton when He comes! When He comes, when He comes, He’ll be ringed with saints and angels when He comes; They’ll be shoutin’ out hosannas to the Man that men denied And I’ll kneel among the cotton when He comes.” Because Albert F. Gilmore, in charge of the Christian Science Committee on Publication for the state of New York, objected to an article, “ Science and Health” in the fourth and last volume of “ The Cambridge History of Ameri can Literature,” G. P. Putnam’s Sons have stopped the sale of the volume, discontinued the publication of any more copies, and will recall all the volumes so far on the market. * * * The offending chapter is No. XXVIII, entitled “ Popular Bibles.” These are “ The Book of Mormon” and “ Science and Health.” Mr. Putnam said that the article on “ The Book of Mormon” would remain in the book as there had been no com plaint. Tis a great thing to have a machine that can render a kick as effective as this. The Christian Science machine is nearly as strong as the one the Knights of Columbus are using. The latter are about to re-write the history of the United States eliminating every thing that is unfavorable to Romanism. A KICK IN EDDYISM The New York Times contained this interesting news item:

the field would work on the job six days in the week, every soul would get the Gospel. Instead of loafing around the small town and being the byword of his folks, he could be out every day win cing men for God and come back with a story to tell on Sunday that would be - on fire. If you or any other man can show a field that is in need of the Gospel and where the sectarians will keep out, there are plenty of trained men ready to enter such fields without asking one penny from any board or organization. I repeat— God speed the day when His people will cease to listen to blind sectarian leaders and refuse to give one penny to support any kind of church but one Gospel preacher in every com munity. Then the sinful and hellish waste will stop— the people see the light and Jesus Christ’s prayer be an- i swered. We enjoy the King’s Business. God bless you and don’t be afraid to offend the sects. Yours in His name, Howell Isaac. HE’LL FEND ME HOEIN’ COTTON Dr. Stuart Holden, in a recent sermon on Christ’s Second Coming, quoted the following negro song which he heard sung by the negroes of Bahama Is lands. “ There’s a King and Captain high, who’ll be cornin’ by-and-by, And He’ll find me hoein’ cotton when He comes; You will hear His legions chargin’ in the thunders of the sky, And He’ll find me hoein’ cotton when He comes! When He comes, when He comes, All the dead will rise in answer to His drums, While the fires of His encampment star the firmament on high,
