girl who loved God would dp, each day while captain Naaman \yas away? Yes, she would pray that Naaman might be made well. (Picture this interesting story of Naaman meeting Elisha, his disappointment and anger, and turning away, and how finally his servants per suaded him to do as Elisha had bidden. Dipped, once, no cure; twice, just the same; three four, five, six times, and still the leprosy was there. Seven times, and he is cured. Emphasize obedience to God’s Word.) What a happy procession starts homeward, and we know how the wife and little girl would be watching for their return, and when they see them coming they can hardly wait. What a happy meeting they had, and now he was well, and could be a brave strong captain for his king, and his wife would be so happy to know he was well. Then too Naaman was now a worshipper of the true God, and the little girl had been used to lead Captain Naaman to God, and we know his wife would worship the true God with him. Let us say our mem ory verse. You see, even while we are children we are known by the things we do. Because this little girl thought of others even in her sorrow, she led this great man to God. We know this little girl was lonely and homesick to see her own dear father and mother, but she loved God, and her home was in the same country where Elisha the prophet lived, and she had heard her people tell of the wonderful things God did through Elisha. She was now just a little slave girl in a strange land, in the home of N a a m a n, who was captain over the king’s soldiers. The king thought a great deal of Captain Naaman for he was brave and won many battles for the king. Of course the captain had a lovely home and wife and everything to make him happy, yet there was one thing that made him very sad. He was a leper, which is a sickness that doc tors cannot cure. The little girl re members the prophet Elisha, and now is her chance to help these people, even though the Captain was the one who had carried her away from her home. She told the wife of Naaman, and she told her husband, and he began to get ready for the long journey to see the prophet of God, and finally started with his horses and chariot and ser vants. What do you think this little
