ANNEX 1 - EQUIPMENT LIST
The following pages contain the lists of equipment required for delivering the CoHE training standard.
All equipment shall be maintained and where appropriate, inspected and tested in accordance with current national standards/ legislation and manufacturers’ recommendations.
Note
1.
CoHE Electrical Safety Module
The following equipment is required during the entire duration of this CoHE Electrical Safety Module to meet the needs of this CoHE Electrical Safety Module. • PPE suitable for electrical work (Insulating gloves (at least one pair per two participants), googles, safety shoes or boots and suitable clothing)

Lockout-Tagout equipment. As a minimum:
o 6 x padlocks o 6 x caution notices / tags o An example of accessories for locking certain components e.g. different types of circuit breakers, hydraulic needle valves.
Measuring devices:
•
Category III 600 V multimeter (at least 1 per four participants)
•
Two pole voltage detector (at least 1 per four participants)
An electrical system which as a minimum must be able to:
•
Be live
•
Be switched off and on
•
Have accessible measuring points
•
Have Lockout-Tagout applied to the system
•
Have corresponding diagrams which reflect all components and connections
•
Have stored energy (e.g. a 12V dc battery)
•
Have at least 2 loads with their respective isolations from the main source
• All components should be reflected in the electrical diagram showing all connections
