Great evening at the ECA NI Dinner 2023

T he traditional Electrical Contractor’s Association Northern Ireland Annual Dinner was held on 24 March at the Culloden Hotel & Spa Resort in Belfast with 120 members, sponsors and guests in attendance. The event was hosted by TV presenter Adrian Logan and the entertainment of the evening was guaranteed by talented impressionist and internet sensation Al Foran. ECA members and sponsors got together to welcome the new NI Chairman Richard Megarity, operations Director for Irwin M+E, and ECA National President Steve Murray, who presented an overview of the past year in the association. Richard highlighted the difficulties and challenges

faced by the local industry, especially the skills shortage. Sponsors present included Electrical Magazine, Edmundson Electrical, Crane, City Electrical Factors (CEF), Knightsbridge, Rexel, Atkore International, G4S and Malone Lighting. The evening also raised a whopping £1,700 for two charities: the Make a Wish Foundation, which grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illness, and the mighty Belfast Trailblazers, Northern Ireland’s powerchair football team.
