Healthcare Plan At Hays, we want to help our employees to stay healthy and happy and support your wellbeing. Our health plan with Simplyhealth covers you for the cost of medical check-ups, appointments and treatment to help keep you physically and mentally fit. You will be automatically entered into the scheme from the 1st of the month after completing 6 months’ service (or for apprentices, when you are signed off your apprenticeship scheme). You will receive an email from Simplyhealth to register and you can either go online or use their app to make claims.

This is normally deducted through your tax code for the next year. Currently, this should cost a basic rate tax payer less than £1.00 per month in additional tax paid.

You can learn from hundreds of evidence-based activities at your own pace, from guided meditation to improving sleep, helping you to make simple everyday changes to improve your mental wellbeing. Supporting you to help you improve your mood, deal with anxious thoughts, handle stress, practice mindfulness and meditation, balance intense emotions, improve sleep, navigate early-years parenting and much more. myStrength is available to all colleagues, as well as your immediate family members. Immediate family includes any spouse, civil partner, partner, parent, brother or sister living in the same household as you; any legal dependant under the age of 21 and in full- time education; or any other legal dependant who is dependent on you because of disability.

Tusker Electric Car Leasing Our Car Benefit Scheme from Tusker is a new way for Hays Travel employees to run a car. A fixed monthly amount is taken directly from your gross salary and in return, you get the use of a brand new electric or plug-in hybrid car.

Tusker Electric Car Leasing
How to access the scheme: Eligibility for the scheme is dependent on you being signed off any probationary period and above a salary threshold (please check with payroll@ hays-travel.co.uk for further details). If you are eligible, to receive a quote and see the range of cars available visit tuskercars.com and create an account using company code HAYS (mainland employees) or HAYS1 (Northern Ireland employees) and your Payroll Number. It is important that you set up your details in the ‘my account’ section and on the quote settings page. This will ensure you will see cars that are appropriate and affordable within your salary sacrifice limits. This is a salary sacrifice scheme which involves giving up a portion of your earnings each month in return for the car. This deduction reduces your salary – and, because your income is lower, the amount of tax and national insurance that you pay on it. Under the scheme you will need to pay Benefit in Kind as the car is being provided as a benefit by the Company. There are additional savings available on pure electric vehicles, as Benefit in Kind is just 2% until April 2025, then will increase by a further 1% each year until April 2028.

Enhanced Annual Leave To help achieve a healthy work-life balance, we offer an enhanced annual leave benefit based on both length of service and attendance. To acknowledge the contributions of our long-serving colleagues, we provide an additional day annual leave for each of the following length of service milestones:

Attendance Award As an additional reward for having 100% attendance (no sickness or absence) through the holiday year, you will be provided with 2 additional days annual leave to take in the next holiday year. The 2 days (15 hours) are based on standard full time hours of 37.5 and will be pro-rated for part time colleagues.

Educationals Educationals and ship visits provide excellent development opportunities for colleagues, enabling them to enhance their knowledge of destinations and specific suppliers.
These opportunities will be advertised on the Hub with a closing date, where colleagues can nominate themselves.
After nominations or selections are made, the relevant Senior Manager (Head of Department and/or DSM in Retail) will be contacted to make the final decision, provided that colleagues meet the eligibility criteria.
Educational opportunities will not be available to colleagues: In a probationary period. Who are under performing, have low attendance and/or is currently undergoing disciplinary proceedings. Who have had an educational in the past year.
