GET OUTSIDE! Plus puzzles, activities & much more! IT’S SCIENCE: 6
Dear Students, It is so hard to believe that it is the end of the
school year! How did it go by so fast? As the theme for this last newspaper is “Get Outside,” I thought I would touch on the benefits of getting outside of your comfort zone. This can mean trying something new. Did you know that when you have to struggle with a new task that learning accelerates? When we are pushed a bit we gain skillsets and new information. I have been taking fiddle lessons and believe me, I am uncomfortable often! The sounds that I can make with my fiddle can be harrowing! I am certainly out of my comfort zone in this class each week. But, as I struggle through each class, I continue to gain skills and learn new songs. I encourage you to set a goal for this summer to learn something new. Think about the areas of sports, art, literature or foreign language. The options are endless. Get outside of your comfort zone
