O PENING AND C LOSING THE U NITS O PENING THE F ILTER D OOR Each unit has a filter compartment door to access to the filters. On split units including the BC 24 and larger, both halves of the unit have such a door. These doors are held down using latches on each door. The filter compartment door should be shipped closed. Opening this door is required for installing or changing filters. Unhook the latch clasp and pull it toward you. This movement will allow the catch of the clasp to loosen from the bolted catch hold. The filter compartment door should swing open allowing access to filters inside the filter compartment.
