BRAHM TM BC Central Collector Series

I NSTALLING THE [O PTIONAL ] H OPPERS

NOTE:

Hoppers are an optional add on and may not have been purchased. Hoppers are NOT installed at the factory.

If purchased, hopper(s) must be installed on site. On split units including the BC 24 and larger, both halves of the unit each have a separate hopper. These hoppers must be attached below the filter compartment. As the self-cleaning cycle is activated, dust will be blown from the filters and accumulate fall into the hoppers. Dust then slides down the hoppers and out the blast gate. An option dust been may be purchased and installed below the hopper. See the 'Installing the [Optional] Dust Bin' section for proper installation of the dust bins. See the 'Maintenance' section for proper servicing of the dust bins. When using a hopper, the unit must be placed on a stand. Cut 1" flat gasket to fit around the flange on the top of the hopper. Gasket lengths vary based on the Brahmâ„¢ Collector model. Install the flat gasket around the top flange of the hopper. The gasket should be centered on the bolt holes. Using a knife, nut driver, or screw driver, punch holes in the gasket to allow bolts to slide through. Place the hopper under the unit. Using a forklift truck, lift the hopper to the bottom of the unit. The bottom of the unit has a bolt pattern surrounding a series of openings below the filters. Slide the hopper under the bottom of the unit using the forklift truck. Looking from below, make sure the hopper's bolt pattern matches the bolt pattern on the bottom of the unit. Place a 3/8" lock washer followed by a 3/8" flat washer onto a 3/8"-16 x 1" hex head bolt. All hardware used here is zinc plated.
