BRAHM TM BC Central Collector Series
E LECTRICAL CONNECTIONS Clean Air Brahm™ Collectors can be set up to operate on various power sources. Please see the following electrical chart based on the specified power. To ensure proper operation, a certified Clean Air Industries , Inc. installer or professional electrician should perform power connections. Any damage incurred from improper electrical power connection will void the warranty of the Brahm™ Collector. The incoming power is connected to the unit at the conduit connection located on the top of the electrical panel. A hole must be drilled for the installation of the conduit connector as varying types / sizes of conduit may be used. Drilling should be performed before the panel is installed where possible and while the panel is lying on its back. Prior to drilling, place a cloth or similar object into the electrical panel to prevent metal fragments from entering the electrical components. Use a vacuum system to remove all metal fragments prior to standing the panel up and prior to the initial power activation. When power is brought into the Brahm™ Collector through the conduit fitting, it will enter the electrical box at the top of the box. The motor lead(s) must be connected from the electrical panel to the unit. SOOW Cord or single
THHN wires are provided to connect the panel up to 25' from the collector. If individual wires were provided, conduit must be installed between the electrical panel and the unit. First make the ground connection the grounding studs in the electrical panel. Next make the phase
connections to the output of the overload or VFD, terminals T1, T2, and T3. Run the SOOW Cord or THHN wires to the motor junction box on the unit. Connect the motor leads to the motor cable
