BRAHM TM BC Central Collector Series
There are two different motor control modes, as well as two motor speed controls. The "Speed Source" button can be toggled between "HMI" and "PID". While in HMI, all motor control modes are restricted by the "Manual VFD Frequency" setting. This can be changed by clicking on the edit button, and setting the Hertz from 0-60. If you toggle the Speed Source to PID, the motor speed will be controlled by the pressure detected within the duct. As pressure increases, the motor speed also increases. This allows the unit to compensate for the difference in pressures and keep a steady intake. This is crucial to maintain a clean, safe working environment. Activating Manual Control immediately starts the motor, as long as no errors are present. The speed of the motor is determined by the Speed Source. If in HMI, the motor will ramp up to the speed set in the Manual VFD Frequency box. If Speed Source is set to PID, the motor will ramp up depending on the pressure detected in the duct. Economizer mode is only available if an economizer package was purchased with the unit. When in Economizer mode, the motor will set at an idle speed until it has detected activity. If no activity is detected after a period of time, the motor will stop. When the unit receives a signal, the motor will speed up depending on the Speed Source. If in HMI, the motor will ramp up to the speed set in the Manual VFD Frequency box. If Speed Source is set to PID, the motor will ramp up depending on the pressure detected in the duct.

On the Manual Mode Screen, there is also a button that will navigate to the "Running Schedule" screen. Here you can set the unit to start and stop on a schedule. For more information, please proceed to the "Running Schedule" section of this manual.
VFD S CREEN : The VFD Screen displays detailed Status and Control Word Breakdowns. These numbers will not mean much to the user, but can be used to quickly diagnose problems with the Smart Collector. Most
