Local Hazard Mitigation Plan
Community Engagement and Outreach Strategy In accordance with FEMA guidance, communities should use an open public involvement process with developing hazard mitigation plans. We anticipate that public outreach for the LHMP will include two central components: Public Meetings - allow for detailed discussions with local officials and engaged community members. Topics may include: the planning process, current and future hazard conditions, the results of the risk and threat assessments, and potential hazard mitigation actions. Currently anticipating one meeting during plan preparation.

We are open to feedback on any details of the strategy to maximize the effectiveness of public engagement and be as efficient as possible with the process.
