There are several chemical plants in the Irvine area that could be a hazard. I would like more information on how to deal with potential hazards like that Traffic congestion causing escape routes. Our roads are overloaded, especially early morning and late afternoon. I am particularly worried about extended electrical grid failure (beyond 2 days) and how the Irvine community would cope.

I think flooding is our biggest potential threat. Handing out the gravel bags a few years ago was smart. I still have 9 of them in the garage. It would be nice to let all Irvine residents know how to enroll on emergency notifications from the city. I believe there's an app but I cant use it after I changed my IOS phone to an Android. Proud to live in Irvine. Does the city have a hazard mitigation plan for each zip code or communities in Irvine? Since I am by UCI, my concerns will vary from those living in Portola Springs. More hands-on training please, after work. Please give us enough time to go home and take care of children or set-up elderly parents for the night before we leave for the event. 7:00pm is a good start time! Focusing on the type of hazard event and its rate of occurrence is speculative. The common element of any disaster is what do we do without utilities and possibly shelter? I live on the second story (technically third floor in the way it is constructed) of an apartment building that is fairly distant from open grass area. Thus, I am not particularly at risk from either fires (unless intentionally set) or flooding (climate change) so much of the stuff here does not apply. If I win Powerball tomorrow and move to a beachside casita in Laguna come Friday, my answers could be completely change. I am not a science denier about climate change, it's just that my CURRENT state, the more likely impacts do not apply.

This over-building must stop and has caused impossible traffic hazards. And we now have many, many people begging on the streets and in public buildings - even knocking on our doors!

Please suggest IRWD update seismic assessment reports.

on question 4, I think you should have given examples. I don't think people would understand the categories to know what falls under geologic hazard, etc.... Even for diseases and pests, they aren't going to think of a pandemic when they just see diseases and pests
