About the Award This award was established by Charlie “Doc” Crandall who was the head athletic trainer at UW-Stevens Point. Charlie served as the President of the Wisconsin Athletic Trainer’s Association from 1982 to 1986 and developed UWSP’s athletic training facilities and program. He was inducted into UWSP’s Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. This award was created to assist second-year MSAT students with clinical education expenses. college. During her time as an undergraduate student, Jess was a part of the women’s basketball team, and a member of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC), Sports Medicine Club, and the National Honor Society. Jess is a first-year graduate student in the MS-Athletic Training program. Following graduation, she hopes to become an athletic trainer at a D2 or D3
